Stewart Ponton, CLA, CIP, FCIAA
VICE CHAIRMAN
Stewart started in the adjusting business in his early years assisting in the development and national growth of Kernaghan Adjusters Ltd. In 1976, Stewart founded Ponton, Coleshill, Edwards Insurance Adjusters. Soon thereafter, Stewart changed the name of the company to McLarens Canada, joining a global network, and acting in the capacity of President and CEO for Canada until 2003. Thereafter, he assumed the role of Chairman where he grew this organization into a national entity changing the name to Granite Claims in 2005 until such time it was sold in 2014.
Stewart was also a prime investor in Subrogation Group Ltd. from 2009 to 2013 which was a very successful company that was later acquired by a larger organization given its ongoing success.
Stewart has been a well-known figure in the Canadian insurance marketplace and has appeared in numerous publications while representing as President both the International Institute of Loss Adjusters and the Canadian Independent Adjusters Association.
Stewart is a wealth of experience and knowledge and as the Vice Chairman of Specialty Risk & Intelligence Services Inc. (SRIS) will assist in directing our path to success.
